Rights holder and delivery partner WorldSport South Africa, together with Pick n Pay and Stellenbosch Wine Routes, welcomed thousands of enthusiastic wine drinkers and festival-goers to the V&A Waterfront’s North Wharf for the inaugural Stellenbosch Wine Festival Cape Town.
The unique two-day event was set on the water’s edge of the majestic Table Bay Harbour and played host to more than 40 of Stellenbosch’s top Wine Farms and Estates in a celebration of wine and food.
Festival-goers had a chance to taste wines from more than 40 wine estates including Beyerskloof, Warwick Estate, Kleine Zalze and more, not only could festival-goers taste all of these amazing wines, they were also able to purchase their favourites directly from the stand for home consumption.
The Pick n Pay Tasting Room offered festival-goers a bespoke, pre-booked 30-minute wine and canapé pairing session hosted by a professional chef, alongside top winemakers and estate owners.
As the official sponsor of the event, Pick n Pay provided attendees with a variety of tasty treats and fresh meals in the Pick n Pay Food Market which hosted seven food stands promoting the freshest Pick n Pay products for tasting and purchase.
The day was topped off with live performances by local musicians, Hot Water and Jeremy Olivier.
